ELECTIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF SELECTED DILEMMAS OF DEMOCRACY

The aim of the article is to analyse selected problems related to elections in democratic systems. It will analyse the procedural democracy concept. According to it democracy is an institutional decision-making agreement. Individuals may receive the power to decide by means of a competitive struggle for the people’s vote. Finally, the paper will present other concepts of democracy and reports on the degree of democratic freedoms all over the world.

Program "Rozwój Czasopism Naukowych"
Czasopismo naukowe «Studia Politologiczne» uzyskało dofinansowanie z Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki w ramach programu „Rozwój Czasopism Naukowych” (projekt numer RCN/SN/0713/2021/1). Wysokość otrzymanego dofinansowania wynosi 79 607 zł. Celem projektu jest realizacja działań zmierzających do podniesienia poziomu praktyk wydawniczych i edytorskich, zwiększenia wpływu Czasopisma na rozwój nauki oraz dalszego zwiększania prestiżu Czasopisma w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym. Okres realizacji projektu wynosi 24 miesiące.
