The aim of this article is to show the relations between politics and the media. The
author shows both the nature of the influence politicians have on the media and
the impact that the media, regarding their nature and specifics have on politics
and political institutions. The author creates a system of interdependence, which
range far beyond the legal regulations and deconstructs colloquial myths of the
„fourth power of the media” and mediatisation of politics.
