ABSTRACT
The study seeks to present the essence of political marketing and its status as
a scientific discipline. The level of consolidation, the main areas of investigations
and the significance for political science are considered as well. Over a dozen last
years separating of political marketing as an independent discipline is observed,
however there is rather empirical than theoretical progress accomplished. Political
marketing is at present also a sort of political philosophy and political market logic,
which penetrates and infiltrates all kinds of political activities, but its theoretical
and methodological status still needs to be integrated and grounded by the future
research.
