ABSTRACT
The research objective is to analyse the competences of the President of the
Republic of Macedonia in the sphere of external relations of the state. The determination of
the formal prerequisites shaping the role of the Head of State in the sphere of Macedonia’s
relations with other states and international organisations requires an analysis of the
constitutional matter and other normative acts, with regard to the constitutional position
of the President, as well as the competency reality. For this purpose, the provisions of the
1991 Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia and the Law on Foreign Affairs will be
analysed, as well as the analysis of the practice of this function by successive officeholders.

Czasopismo naukowe «Studia Politologiczne» uzyskało dofinansowanie z Ministerstwa Edukacji i Nauki w ramach programu „Rozwój Czasopism Naukowych” (projekt numer RCN/SN/0713/2021/1). Wysokość otrzymanego dofinansowania wynosi 79 607 zł. Celem projektu jest realizacja działań zmierzających do podniesienia poziomu praktyk wydawniczych i edytorskich, zwiększenia wpływu Czasopisma na rozwój nauki oraz dalszego zwiększania prestiżu Czasopisma w międzynarodowym obiegu naukowym. Okres realizacji projektu wynosi 24 miesiące.
