There are countries in Europe that are characterized by atypical solutions related
to the head of state. An example presented in this article is the Principality of
Andorra, which head of state is dualistic – hosted by the French President and the
Spanish Bishop of Seo de Urgell. Both are described as co-princes, which shows
the closeness of solutions to those adopted within the monarchy. This article seeks
to show not only the systemic solutions related to their functioning but also the
practice, especially in view of representatives they are ruling by.
