ABSTRACT
of the Ukrainian parliament includes five parties – the Party of Regions, the Communist
Party, the All-Ukrainian Union “Fatherland”, the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda” and
Ukrainian Democratic Alliance for Reform “UDAR”. The last three – it’s the opposition
parties, who have united to overthrow the regime. However, neither the governing party nor
the united opposition, do not have a majority in parliament. To make important decisions
all of them have to negotiate. Dialogue between the parties is quite difficult, and sometimes
not even possible. Representatives of parties provoke each other in the parliament, which
often leads to fights in the grand stand. The main provocateur is the Party of Regions, and
more often can be noticed in fight the All-Ukrainian Union “Svoboda”. After the elections,
against “Svododa” was a lot of different statements in racism and anti-Semitism. However,
no matter what is said “Svoboda” tries to hold rating and refute unfair accusations. Amid
falling ranking of the All-Ukrainian Union “Fatherland”, “Svoboda” remains the main
backbone of today’s opposition and attempts to gain the trust of both the west and the
east and south.
