ABSTRACT
This article is devoted to the oversight function of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic. The article is based on an analysis of the Constitution and legal framework establishing the Parliament’s right to conduct the oversight function. A review of the interpretation of their oversight powers at different historical stages is made. The article discusses the types of oversight power that have been carried out in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Jogorku Kenesh – the main law of the Kyrgyz Parliament. During the study, the authors characterize the oversight function of the Kyrgyz Parliament, identify issues to be discussed concerning the structure of the Rules of Procedure, and developed conclusions and recommendations on improving the relevant legislation.
